The Teen Age

“Matador” 7” Single

(PaperCup Music)

October 8, 2013

Formed in a Brooklyn basement in late 2012, The Teen Age plays a mix of ‘70s inspired punk and garage rock.  The group made their live debut in January of this year, supporting Palma Violets.  Their debut single, “Ventura”, was recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks Studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and released via PaperCup Music in July, garnering an excellent initial response from such outlets as MTV’s Buzzworthy blog.  “Ventura” showcases the band’s particular brand of “Doo Wop Garage” featuring reverb-drenched guitars and a sing-along ready chorus.

The Teen Age will release their follow up single “Matador” on 7” vinyl this October, backed with two b-sides, “Why Would You Leave” and “The Wave”.  Destined to have you dancing with it’s jangled guitars and reverb drenched vocals, “Matador” and “The Wave” are perfect follow ups to “Ventura”, while “Why Would You Leave” is a crunched up shot of pure adrenaline.
